Maribel Plaza

Maribel Plaza, 60, a new resident of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of Sunbury, PA, entered fully into the presence of the Lord on Thursday, November 24, 2022 in Cape Coral. She was born June 4, 1962 in Utuado, Puerto Rico.

Maribel was a member of Congregacion Nueva Cancion in Sunbury, PA. She was a faithful woman who loved the Lord, her family and Church. Maribel enjoyed spreading the goodness of Jesus, singing and flying her banners in the presence of the Lord. She found fullness in her heart by helping others and preaching the good word of Jesus and saving souls along the way. Maribel will be remembered as an amazing woman who did everything with lots of love no matter how big or small, blessing those in need even when she had very little. Her genuine laughter and joyful ways will be instilled in our hearts and memories forever.

She is survived by her loving parents, Jacinto and Luz Plaza of Hartford, CT; loving children, Israel Cruz of Wethersfield, CT, Daniel Cruz of Wallingford, CT, and Damaris Naranjo and her husband Angel of Cape Coral; siblings, Papo Plaza and his wife Carmen of Puerto Rico, Radames Plaza of Hollywood, FL, Noel Plaza of Inverness, FL, Joanna Hernandez-Plaza of East Hartford, CT, and Lynette Plaza, of New Britain: six grandchildren, Nashalee, Amarie, Mariah, Xavier, Jacob, and Nehemiah; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held 12:00 PM Monday, December 5, 2022 at Coral Ridge Cemetery, 1630 SW Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral, FL 33991 with Pastor Dibble officiating.
