Marie Gifford, 86, a resident of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly of Toms River, New Jersey, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2020 in Cape Coral. She was born December 7, 1933 in Utica, New York to Carmen and Clementina Christopher, now deceased.
Marie was a member of Saint Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Toms River, New Jersey. She was a waitress for many years and made many friends along the way. She loved to gamble and play the slots and was lucky most times. She loved to play bingo, paint, garden and do crafts. She was loved by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter Laura Gifford-Ginda and her husband Jon of Cape Coral and her son Harold Gifford of Arizona. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; as well as many great grandchildren.
Marie was preceded in death by two children, her daughter Donna Gray and son Michael Gifford; as well as three sisters, Louise Tucker, Millie Priore and Jane Serratelli
A Memorial Mass will be held 9:00 AM Saturday, October 10, 2020 at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 685 Hooper Ave., Toms River, NJ 08753.
