Mark Robert Seltzer

Mark Robert Seltzer, 70, a resident of Fort Myers, FL since 1997, formerly of Coconut Creek, FL and West Paterson, NJ, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2020 in Fort Myers. He was born July 4, 1950 in Bronx, NY to Joseph and Laura Seltzer, now deceased.

Mark graduated from Adelphi University with a business degree.  He was a member of Next Level Church in Fort Myers and worked as a Crime Analyst for the Lee County Sheriff’s Office for over 15 years.

He was a very detail-oriented person.  If you asked him a question, he wouldn’t answer unless he knew the answer was correct and he could prove it.  He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed playing pranks on others and being surprised when they got him back.  He always made it a point to speak to everyone he came across and if you were ill, always tried to make you feel better.  He found joy in giving to others and was loved and appreciated by all those who knew him.

Mark is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Jackie Seltzer of Fort Myers; two loving children, Taylor Seltzer and Travis Seltzer, both of Fort Myers; mother in law, Maria Politi of Cape Coral; father in law, Epifanio Suarez (Sara) of Miami, FL; as well as Pablo, the dog.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Next Level Church, 12400 Plantation Rd., Fort Myers, FL 33966.
