Marlene Duarte

Marlene Duarte, 53, a Cape Coral, FL resident since 1987, formerly of S. Chicago Heights, IL passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016 in Cape Coral, FL. She was born November 16, 1962 in São Paulo, Brazil. Marlene was of the Catholic faith. She attended Bloom High School. Marlene obtained her cosmetology license at Capri Beauty School. She was a licensed insurance agent at State Farm for many years. In 2012, Marlene made a life career change and was in the honors program in nursing school. She was highly devoted and fiercely protective of those she loved. Marlene is survived by her father Eduardo Duarte, of Cape Coral; fiancé, Thad Krider, of IN; two loving sisters, Marilyn Pealy and her daughter Taryn, of Cape Coral, Melissa Caputo (Kevin Caputo), their children, Cody and Trinity, of Spokane, WA; three loving sons, Wesley Sons and girlfriend, Rachael DeMoulin, of Cape Coral, Harry Gibson (Micheal Childers), of Cape Coral, and Ted Gibson, of Cape Coral; two step-daughters, Tabatha and Corinna Krider, of IN; as well as four grandchildren, Damian, Noah, Owen, and Mia. She was a loving cousin and niece to many both here in the U.S. and Brazil Marlene was preceded in death by her mother, Sirlene Duarte in Feb, 2015. A Memorial Service is being planned and still to be determined. Details will be made available on Marlene's Facebook page when they are decided.
