Mary Youssef Ghantous

Mary Youssef Ghantous, 88, a resident of North Fort Myers, FL since 1984, formerly of Lebanon, passed away Monday, May 20, 2024 in Fort Myers, FL. She was born January 28, 1936 in Cairo, Egypt to Youssef and Milia Namour, now deceased.

Mary was of the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Cape Coral, FL.  She was an amazing mother, and a gifted housekeeper. She made a great sacrifice of her time when she had to go to work to support her family as a single mother following the passing of her beloved husband, Fares. She knew how to get the family together and served the most delicious meals. Being a loving hostess was one of her top treasures.

She is survived by five loving children, Simon Ghantous of Cape Coral, Richard Ghantous (Paula) of North Fort Myers, Pierre Ghantous of Fort Myers, Paul Ghantous (Ichy) of Lehigh Acres, and Theresa Cotten (Ralph) of Cape Coral; seven grandchildren; as well as two great grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fares Ghantous in 1988.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, May 24, 2024 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33916. The family will receive friends for a Time of Visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Committal Service will follow at Fort Myers City Cemetery, Michigan Avenue, Fort Myers, FL 33916.
