Mary Louise Martini

Mary Louise Martini, 88, a resident of Fort Myers, formerly of Cincinnati, OH, passed away Friday, November 4, 2022.  She was born January 28, 1934 in Cincinnati, OH to Frank and Marie Rothe, now deceased. 

Mary Lou was a lifelong Catholic.  She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and friend to many.  As a young woman, she worked as an operator at the telephone company.  After marrying the love her life on October 15, 1952 she became a housewife and homemaker who successfully raised thirteen children.  Mary Lou and her husband owned a local pizza shop, known as Ike’s Pizza, which was located in the shores.  She spent her time relaxing in the sun, enjoying family gatherings, and taking naps with her cats.  During the pandemic Mary Lou and her cat Marilyn, watched mass daily.  She enjoyed telling stories about her life experiences and family memories.  Her hobbies included cross stitch, crochet, morning devotional and prayer, evening games with family, journaling, and cooking. 

She is survived by her eleven loving children, Donna Kuchera (Gary) of Port Charlotte, Nancy Moore (David) of Kennesaw, GA, Rick Martini (Kim) of Cincinnati, OH, Vickie Pingleton of Ft. Myers, Larry Martini of Harrison, OH, Diane Brummett of Muskegon, MI, Gary Martini (Linda) of Lehigh Acres, Beverly Alvarez (Robert) of LaBelle, Amy Dinkens of Cookeville, TN, Mary Beth Jones (Danny) of Ft. Myers, and Bernadette Rashford (Gary) of Ft. Myers; twenty-five grandchildren; forty great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; one niece, Marcia; as well as one nephew, Dale.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband; Clarence Martini in 2014, two children; Rodney Martini and Peggy Strait Moore, one great grandchild; Seth Copeland and a brother; Frank Rothe, Jr.

Funeral Services will be held 11:30AM, Friday, November 11, 2022 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 13031 Palm Beach Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33905 with Father Murchadh O’Madagain officiating. 

A Time of Visitation will be held 10:00 – 11:00AM, Friday, November 11, 2022 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33916.

Final resting place is Saint Joseph Cemetery, Cincinnati Ohio.
