Mary Ellen Steckhan

Mary Ellen Steckhan, 96, a resident of North Fort Myers, FL since 2000, formerly of Columbus, OH, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024 in Cape Coral, FL. Mary was born April 16, 1928 in Marion, IN to August Francis and Wilma E Uhl, now deceased.

Mary attended North Fort Myers Church of the Nazarene. She was a loving mother and grandmother! She loved to garden and was an amazing cook. Mary Ellen was devoted to the Church and volunteered in the office every Wednesday. She also helped the church and community in many ways. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her loving children, John M Adams (Patricia) of North Fort Myers, FL, and Renee L Adams of North Fort Myers; as well as grandchildren, Jonathan Johnson, Steven Adams, Samaria McClan, Haley Adams, Arianne Hailey, and Jay Adams.

Mary was preceded in death by her spouses, Jay Adams who passed in 1996, and Bob Steckhan who passed in 2006.

Memorial Services will be held from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at North Fort Myers Church of the Nazarene, 6781 Bayshore Rd, North Fort Myers, FL 33917.
