Mary Ann Wallin

Mary Wallin, age 84, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025, in Fort Myers, Florida. She was born on October 17, 1940, in Chelsea, Alabama, Mary lived a life rooted in faith, family, and creativity.

Mary was a devoted wife to her beloved husband Johnny for 60 years until his passing in 2017. Together they built a strong and loving family that brought her immense joy throughout her life. She was the cherished mother of Dennis (Brenda) Wallin, Paul (Cindy) Wallin, Lesa (Joe) Gudinas, and Renda (Melvin) Scroggins. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren—Ronnie, Johnny, Donnie, Bonnie, Lonnie, Heather, Gordon, and Brandi—along with 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild whom she loved very much.

In addition to her husband Johnny, she was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and four sisters, and two great-grandbabies.

Mary had a deep love for sewing and crafting. She especially enjoyed making dolls and creating handmade treasures that reflected her warmth and care. Family gatherings were among her greatest joys—times filled with laughter, stories, and the comfort of togetherness.

Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. A devoted member of Eagles Nest Church in Fort Myers, Mary found strength and purpose in her relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Her church family held a special place in her heart.

Mary’s life was a testament to love — love for God, for family, and for the simple joys that made each day meaningful. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Prayers for the family are greatly appreciated during this time of remembrance. May Mary’s memory bring comfort to those who loved her and peace to all who mourn her passing.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the Sonshine Worship Center, 12925 Palm Beach Blvd Fort Myers, FL with Pastor Billy Cass officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 am until the time of service.
