Matthew "Matt" David Saunders, 36, a Lee County, Florida resident for the past 32 years, formerly of West Allis, Wisconsin passed away Saturday, October 3, 2015 in Cape Coral. He was born September 26, 1979 in West Allis, WI. He is survived by his loving mother, Joanie Levesque of Cape Coral; two loving children, Moriah Saunders of Cape Coral, and Destin Slovodzian of Ft. Myers; brother, Chris Mishefsky of Cape Coral; nephew, Kyle Fontaine of Cape Coral; as well as maternal grandparents, Ruth Pokvzywa (Ted) of Waukesha, WI, and David Schwabe (Sue) of Ft. Myers. Matt was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Saunders and his step-father, Roland Levesque. "Dad, You are no longer suffering and in a better place. I love you forever & always daddy. May you rest in peace. Mo Mo" A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL 33916 with Pastor Dennis Gingerich officiating. There will be a gathering for friends and family after the Memorial Service. It will be held at 1504 NE 33RD Street, Cape Coral, FL 33904. Food will be served.
