The world lost a beloved mother, Mayda Martinez Peroza (46), on 22. Nov. 2022. She was a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past 23 years, formerly of Miami, FL, and passed away in Fort Myers, FL. Mayda was born in Manati, PR on 22 Nov. 1976.

Mayda attended Iglesia Cristiana Jesus Fuente de Vida Church in Cape Coral. Mayda married her husband Eric on 11 Mar. 2007, in Cape Coral; they have been married for 15 years and together for 26 years. Mayda revolved her life around her family and worked hard to be the best wife and mother.

People knew her as a hard worker and accomplished a lot during her time here on earth. Mayda was best known for her quirkiness, fierce determination, and generous spirit. Family and friends knew her as a kind soul, always willing to cheer up those around her; she was full of laughter. Mayda had a green thumb and loved her garden, especially tending her orchids which she raised with love. She enjoyed cooking her favorite dishes, learning new recipes, also sharing them with those who shared the same interest. In addition, she was also a cinephile who enjoyed watching movies and collecting DVDs plus VHS tapes.

Mayda touched the lives of so many people, she will truly be missed and will never, ever, be forgotten.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 23 years, Eric Martinez of Cape Coral; loving mother, Carmen Andino of Manati, PR; three loving children, Dayashley Arce, Ruben Martinez, and Mayshdaley Martinez, all of Cape Coral; eight siblings, Iris Andino of PR, Hiram Galindez of PR, Betzaida Peroza of MA, Rasaly Peroza of MA, Myriam Pedroza of MA, Lily Peroza of MA, Raquel Peroza of MA, and Miriam Peroza of MA; mother and father in law, Juan Martinez of PR, and Maria Melendez of Cape Coral; as well as many nieces and nephews.

To honor Mayda’s memory, we are holding a celebration of her life at 5:00 PM on 9 Dec. 2022, at Iglesia Cristiana Jesus Fuente, 939 SW 7th Court, Cape Coral, FL 33991 with Pastor Ray Sanchez officiating. We invite only family members and loved ones to attend and remember her wonderful life. We ask attendees to wear the colors; white and lavender.
