Megan Lyn Bowman

Megan Lyn Bowman, 46, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 1981, formerly of Chesterton, IN, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024, surrounded by friends and family in her home in Cape Coral. She was born January 31, 1978 in Chesterton, IL.

Megan was of the Catholic faith and attended St. Katharine Drexel. Her faith was the cornerstone of her family, and of her spirit. In life she was an amazingly loving mother, sister, aunt, daughter, wife, and friend. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, which led her to a position as a Senior Procurement Specialist for the Lee County Port Authority. Probably her greatest professional achievement was going through all of the treatments and procedures necessary over the last year, while at the same time working very hard to achieve licensing for Certified Professional Public Buying, which she earned on October 26, 2023. In that, she showed us all that when your mind is set to something, there is absolutely nothing that can stop you.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jason Bowman; parents, Steve and Barbara Holley of Cape Coral; children, Jordan Wilson, Aliyah Wilson, and Jaden Wilson all of Cape Coral; step children, Thea Lavender (Terrance) and grandchild, Daisy of Detroit, MI, Elena Bowman, Jackson Bowman, Brooklynn Bowman, and Jay Bowman all of Cape Coral; sister, Jennifer Holley of Cape Coral; niece, Mariah Holley; as well as nephew, Jonathan Holley.
