Michael “Brandt” Bays, 46, a Cape Coral, Florida resident since 2014, formerly of Englewood, Florida, passed away Thursday, July 3rd, 2025, in Cape Coral. He was born October 27, 1978, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Brandt was of the Christian faith having placed his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He graduated from Lemon Bay High School (Englewood, FL), and attended Stetson University, Liberty University and Ellerslie Bible/Discipleship Training. He was a part of the Cape Coral community. His occupation was a snack distributor with Pepperidge Farm while living in Cape Coral. He was diligent in every endeavor he undertook and was well loved by all who knew him. He loved sports and excelled at anything he did: soccer, golf, tennis, and loved fishing.
He is survived by his parents, Carol Pokorny, and her husband, Max, of Placida, Florida, Michael Bays and his wife Lynn of Auburn, Indiana, his beautiful daughter, Lillian Grace Bays of Chinquapin, NC; paternal grandmother, Jeanne Bays, of Indiana; nine siblings, Stephanie Naylor and husband Matt of Austin, TX, Topher Pokorny and wife Priscila of Englewood, FL, Emily Pokorny of Hutto, TX, Becky Shorb of Sarasota, FL, Nicholas Pokorny and wife Emilia of Romania, Jacob Pokorny and wife Olivia of Cape Coral, Abdul Tatiko and wife Shammi of Nigeria, Megan Conlon and husband Mark of Cypress, TX and Melissa Brown and husband Matthew of Farmington, MI, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of Life Service was held Sunday, July 13th, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church, 75 Pine Street, Englewood, FL 34223 with Pastor Daniel Cox officiating.
