Michael “Mike” Brindisi, 49, a resident of Cape Coral, FL died Saturday, May 3, 2025. He was born November 22, 1975 in New Rochelle, NY to Salvatore and Kathryn Brindisi. His parents both preceded him in death however he is survived by his step-father Giovanni “John” Bosco.
Mike was an adventurous man with a propensity for anything fast or life-threateningly dangerous. If you had to sign a cautionary waiver, he was ‘in’. Skydiving, competitive racing, ziplining, white water rafting, riding a sketchy lift up the side of a mountain in Jamaica, dragging his knee down the Tail of the Dragon, and (reluctantly) taking a ski lift in Colorado. Mike also loved golfing with his kids as it reminded him of golfing with his own dad. He enjoyed watching MotoGP racing and also raced his own bike for as long as he was able. He was a NASCAR fan but often slept through the boring part in the middle. Five days a week you could find Mike working in the kitchen at Pizza Pub, his second home for the past two decades, complete with a devoted work family that he valued immensely.
When his work day ended you could nearly guarantee he was at a sports field supporting his kids’ interests or having dinner with his family at Sakura or Chili’s. Mike never planned on being a husband but he happily took on the role of ‘family man’ after marrying Marla on March 26, 2022, becoming a father to Wyatt and Madison. He never missed a game no matter how sick or tired he may have felt. The love he had for his family was apparent to all who knew him. Although this chapter of life was shorter than he would have preferred, the years they spent together were the best years of all their lives. No matter what challenges life brought their way they faced them fearlessly together.
Mike is survived by his wife, Marlanique Wilkinson; his son, Wyatt Sabin; his daughter, Madison Sabin; a nephew who was like a son, Ronnie Speciale; his sister, Sandra “Sandee” Rodriguez (Dave); his sister-in-law Christina Carson (John Woodby); his niece, Ashleigh; his nephews, Tyler, Trey, Ian, Kaleb and Gavin (Jontell); his family-by-choice, Joann and Jimmy Baker, Tiffany Savage and Anthony Savage; and his wife’s abundant family, both by nature and by choice.
To honor his memory, the family asks that you please eat a chocolate chip cookie in bed tonight and root for the Giants in the fall.
