Michael Robert Etherson

Michael Robert Etherson, 50, of Cape Coral, Florida passed away Friday, January 29, 2016. He was born March 2, 1965 in Islip, New York. Mike grew up in Fort Myers. He loved tennis and was an avid player from a young age. He graduated from Fort Myers High School in 1983 and attended Edison Community College. After college, he began working for a paintless dent repair company and several years later he was owner and CEO of X-Hail Dent Repair. Mike was an accomplished writer and had a wonderful grasp of the English language writing poetry, song lyrics, and short stories. His presence was larger than life and his smile, wit, charm, and laugh will always be remembered. He was a beautiful person inside and out.

Mike is survived and loved by his mother, Diane Etherson; sisters, Kim and Kellie Etherson, Kathi Gensel (Russ), Karen Vazquez, and twin brother, Joe Etherson (Kristi); son, Dillon Etherson of Fort Myers; son Christian Etherson of Knoxville, TN; three uncles, Robert Francis Etherson of Lindenhurst, NY, Mickey Devins (Joanne) of Scranton, KS, and Jerome Devins (Beth) of Wichita, KS; 10 nieces and nephews, and 3 great nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his father Joseph Thomas Etherson, III.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at 4:00 PM with the memorial service to be held 5:00 PM on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL 33916.
