Mildred Ann Young

Mildred Ann Young, 75, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 1988, formerly of Billerica, MA, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024, in Fort Myers, FL. She was born March 24, 1949, in Boston, MA to Michael F and Maude M Colangelo, now deceased.

Mildred was of the Roman Catholic faith. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her favorite past times were going to the beach, spending time with her family and fishing with her husband and grandchildren. She was always there to lend a hand, provide a shoulder to cry on or just listen. She loved her grandchildren endlessly; they always made her smile. She will be missed greatly by everyone who knows her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Michael R. Young of Cape Coral; three children, Kim Mitchell and her husband Charlie of Cape Coral, Vicky Young of Cape Coral, Kristin McKeen and her husband Tyler of Cape Coral, and one step daughter Cynthia Young of Liberty, SC; one sister, Beverly Williams of Sturbridge, MA; five nieces, Pam, Kathy, Denise, Donna, and Cindy; two nephews, Kenny and Jimmy; as well as six grandchildren, Zachary, Trevor, Corey, Tyler, Charles, and Kaiden.

Mildred was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Colangelo and Buck Lamb.

A private Celebration of Life will be held on May 25, 2024
