Mirtha Proenza

Mirtha Del Carmen Proenza, 80, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 1988 formerly of Elizabeth, NJ passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016 in Cape Coral, FL. She was born July 30, 1936 in Oriente, Cuba to Trifon and Carolina Martinez, now deceased.

Mirtha was a member of New Testament Baptist Church, Cape Coral, FL. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

She is survived by her two loving children, Julio Cordero (Lori) of West Palm Beach, FL and Mario Cordero (Lynnette) of Cape Coral, FL; one sister-in-law, Teresa Martinez of Miami, FL; two nephews, Miguel Martinez, Jr. and Harry Martinez of Miami, FL; one niece, Teresa Martinez of Miami, FL; three grandchildren, Michael, Mario, Jr. and Nicolette.

Mirtha was preceded in death by her brother, Miguel Martinez.

A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, August 19, 2016 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL 33916 with Pastor Asael Gonzalez officiating. Family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Mullins Memorial. Interment will follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery, 1630 SW Pine Island Road, Cape Coral, FL 33991.
