Nancy Drobney

Nancy Drobney, 74, a resident of North Fort Myers, FL since 2014, formerly of Lafayette, NJ, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2022 in North Fort Myers. She was born June 15,1948 in Baltimore, MD to Martin and Mary Rich, both now deceased.

Nancy was known for her commitment to furthering the advancement and impact of women in healthcare worldwide.  She was always passionate in advocating for and mentoring other women in her chosen career in the pharmaceutical industry. 

She had an extremely successful business career with experience that spanned pharmaceutical sales and marketing specifically in the area of women’s health.  She had senior positions at two advertising agencies and went on to be CEO of her own company PROmedica Communications where she led a staff of 30 in the medical education area.

She was Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association President twice and won their Volunteer of the year award in 2012.

She was always on the go and that didn’t stop when she retired.  She was active with the National Organization of Women Voters, took up painting and was heavily involved with her local tennis league. 

She surrounded herself with a strong circle of friends that she called family. Her home was always full of life, laughter, and fun.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years, Rick Drobney of North Fort Myers; loving daughter, Jennifer McGovern and son-in-law Jim McGovern of North Plainfield, NJ; grandchildren, James, Spencer and Eliza; as well as Apalonia and Domino, her beloved dogs.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Details to be shared as available.
