Patricia Lorene Von Der Vellen

Patricia Lorene Von Der Vellen, 85, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2025, in the arms of her loving husband, John. Pat was born April 15, 1940, in Elkhorn, WI, and graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in Beloit, WI.

Pat was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in N. Ft. Myers. She raised a family of 5 children while relocating 15 times. Pat worked as a bank teller for over 30 years. After retirement Pat and John settled into the Lake Fairways community 25 years ago. She was a gifted artist, an avid gardener and enjoyed reading. Pat was a devoted wife, a remarkable mother and grandmother whose kindness, strength, and unwavering loyalty touched all who were fortunate enough to be part of her life.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, John Von Der Vellen; five children, Susan Garner (Tim), Vincent (Anne), Kent (Kimberly), Brad (Angie) and, Derek (Andrea); a sister, Judy Young; thirteen grandchildren Emily, Travis, Adelynn, Hannah, Allison, Kerry, Kaitlin, Victoria, Andrew, Cole, Elise, and Brianne, as well as six great-grandchildren. Josephine, Genevieve, Waylynn, Gavin, Bowie, and Mila.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents Lorene and Wescott Patton, brothers Richard and Edward, and grandson Jakob Von Der Vellen.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11am Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at St. Therese Roman Catholic Church, 20115 N Tamiami Trail, North Fort Myers, FL 33903 with Father Jan officiating.
