Rebecca Jane Lewis, 71, of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of Vermont, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.
Born on December 19, 1953, in Middlebury, VT, she was the daughter of the late William Keyes and Audrey Keyes, who survives her and resides in Vermont.
Affectionately called "Becky" by those fortunate enough to know her, she lived with unmatched independence and authenticity. Throughout the years, she took on many roles — from repo woman to bartender/owner to office manager — always direct and never one to shy away from the truth. She had a love for Michael Jackson, the Miami Dolphins, Mark Martin, and Skittles, among other things.
Becky had a big heart and was deeply cherished by many. Her warmth and loyalty drew people in, creating lasting friendships throughout her life. She loved pets and found peace in their quiet company, often preferring it over the noise of the world. Her love for creatures, big and small, was evident in her care for Rocky the squirrel and many others she welcomed into her life.
Becky is survived by her three daughters, Jackie Koralewicz and her husband Peter of Ft. Lauderdale, and Jamie and Jillian Lewis of Cape Coral; three siblings, Gerald Keyes of Ft. Myers, FL, Betty Law and her husband Mike of Vermont, and Nancy Woodard of Vermont; four grandchildren, Sebastian, Ava, Zoey, and Peyton; and her beloved dog, Sammy.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers, William Keyes and Kenneth Keyes.
Her life was a testament to living authentically, loving fiercely, and always staying true to who she was.
Details for the celebration of life will be announced soon.
