Richard "Dick" Harris Case, 81, a Cape Coral, FL resident since 1997, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016 in Ft. Myers, FL. He was born November 3, 1934 in Amsterdam, NY to Leonard and Irene Case, now deceased. Dick was a member of St. Mary's Church in Amsterdam, NY where he and Barbara were married on April 16, 1955. In 1952 he graduated from St. Mary's Institute and was later employed as Systems Analyst at General Electric Company in Schenectady, NY. Dick retired in 1993 with 40 years' service. While in Amsterdam, he served as a Lector for many years and was a co-founder of the "Over 30 Basketball League". He also served in The National Guard and retired as a Master Sergeant. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Barbara (Yatch) Case of Cape Coral; three sons, Timothy Case of Cape Coral, Robert Case of Schenectady, NY, and William Case of Finchville, KY; six grandchildren, Alicia Case of New York, NY, Marc Case of Schenectady, NY, Chelsea and Morgan Case of KY, Frankie and Megan Case of Schenectady, NY; three sisters, Marjorie Jackson, Mary Flint, and Betty Terwilliger, all of Amsterdam, NY; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mullins Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cape Coral, is entrusted with final care.
