Richard Louis Frank

Richard Louis Frank, 82, a resident of Matlacha, FL since 1991, formerly of Austintown, OH, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023 in Matlacha. He was born March 21, 1941 in Youngstown, OH to Anthony and Anna Frank, now deceased.

Richard was a member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church in Bokeelia, FL. A Veteran of the United States Army. He was a graduate of Ursuline Catholic High School and worked at the Sheet and Tube Mill along with enjoying his Youngstown family businesses of Frank's Heating and Air conditioning, The Fish Hook Tavern along with Frank's Quality Fruit Market. He moved to Matlacha to establish Friendly Frankies Liquor stores and retail shops in St. James City, Matlacha, Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Bonita Springs and Naples. He wasn't all work though,

 He always made time to enjoy his family and friends fishing, boating, traveling and making sure if you were with him you had an amazing time he had a gift of giving joy and laughter with his "stories" to anyone who spent time with him.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Elizabeth Frank of Matlacha; a daddy, father and pops to five loving children, Richard Frank (Ruth) of Matlacha, Michelle Yacko (Mark) of Brunswick, OH, Matthew Frank  (Kate) of Bokeelia, Anthony Frank (Jennifer) of Kalispel, MT, and Joseph Frank (Amanda) of Lakeside, MT; sister and brother, Mary Elizabeth Richley of Youngstown, OH, and Joe Frank (Barbara) of Salem, OH; and brother, Anthony Frank, now deceased;  fourteen grandchildren, Sarah, Nicole, Morgan, Thomas, Matthew, Nicolas, Reese, Logan, Aubrey, Robert, Zoe, Samantha, Melanie and Josh; seven great grandchildren, Stella, Gianna, Rowan, Liam, Levi, Evelyn and Theodore; lastly, he was Uncle Richie to his nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass along with the celebration of 60 years of marriage will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM with a luncheon to follow at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church, 12175 Stringfellow Road, Bokeelia, FL 33922.
