Richard "Rick" Wayne Vyain

Richard “Rick” Wayne Vyain 73, resident of Fort Myers for 51 years, formerly of Muncie, IN passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023 in Fort Myers.  Rick was born September 11, 1949 to Henry and Marjorie Vyain, now deceased.

He is a Christian raised in the Catholic faith.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. Rick was employed by Lee County Electric Cooperative (LCEC) as a GIS Specialist IV/Engineering Department just one month shy of 50 years at the time of his retirement in August 2022.  Rick learned his skill as a Draftsman in the Army and continued that career in his civilian life

Rick is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Vyain of Fort Myers; two daughters, Elizabeth Topliff (Robert) of Fort Myers and Melanie Vyain of Cape Coral; four grandchildren, Sydney, Ryley, Madison and Brooklyn; sister, Sandy Hubbell (Greg) of Greenville, SC; two brothers, Danny Vyain (Sally) of Kokomo, IN and Mark Vyain (Jenny) of Fishers, IN; several nieces and nephews; as well as Ellie Mae, the cocker spaniel.

Rick loved his family and friends which was reflected in his words and actions.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Friday, May 12, 2023 at Stoneybrook at Gateway Clubhouse, 9521 Pebblebrook Blvd, Fort Myers, Florida 33913 with military honors presented. Bring your most joyful memories as we celebrate Rick. A life well lived so happily deserves a happy remembrance.
