Robert "Dwight" Harol, 76, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past two years, formerly of Boynton Beach, FL, and Tustin, CA, passed away Friday, February 17, 2023 in Cape Coral, FL. Dwight was born in Wilmington, DE to Albert and Olive Harol, now deceased.

Dwight was Hebrew and of the Judaism faith. He attended Delaware State College in Dover Delaware before being drafted to the military. He served in the United States Navy and fought in the Vietnam War. He was wounded while in active duty in the war and awarded The Purple Heart and a two time Bronze Star for his courage and sacrifice after he saved a member of his platoon. He was a store manager for Wilmington Drygoods and then a Buyer and Clothier for The Mens Den. Dwight worked for Parker Bertea Aerospace where was an engineer for 10 years. He worked for Pontiac GMC as a Car Salesman for 10 years before he retired.

If you knew Dwight personally you knew he was a human encyclopedia; especially on subjects like Religious TRUTH. He never met a stranger and the light in his eyes and vibrant smile made anyone feel welcome and covered. Talented in many ways but specifically in music and fishing. He had an amazingly beautiful voice and could play the trumpet as well as he could hold an intellectual conversation. Dwight was a member of the Gospel Group the Mary Dee's in Wilmington Delaware. He was a member of the recording group the Empire's where he wrote, sang, and recorded the song "Come Home Girl". He was a member of The Black Smith Band in Wilmington Delaware which took he and his family to Santa Ana, California where he lived for 42 years. When he wasn't singing his favorite passed time was fishing which gave him great joy.

He is survived by three loving children, Ikeya Harol of Cape Coral, Ikem Dwight Harol of Chester, PA, and Jaye Aux-Vasse Harol-Hill of Santa Ana, CA; seven grandchildren, Alora Pope DeCalero (Anthony), Chandler Pope (Shaina), Kadisha, Ikem, Jr., Camryn, Carter, and Ava; as well as three great grandchildren, Stellan, Astra, and Kaia.
