Robert William Shean

Robert William Shean, 77, a Cape Coral, Florida resident since 1978, formerly of Rochester, New York, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016 in Ft. Myers, Florida. He was born March 12, 1938 in Rochester, NY to Leon and Ruby Shean, now deceased. Robert was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Cape Coral. He was an avid gardener and loved tending to his roses as well as enjoying the many varieties of birds his garden attracted. Robert spent his adult life as a residential general contractor in New York as well as in Lee County. He was the epitome of strength and was very loved by his family. His presence will be missed by all.. He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Joanne Shean of Cape Coral; two loving children, Steven Shean (Donna) of Bradenton, FL and Peggy Newlan of Cape Coral; two brothers, Leon Shean of Long Beach, CA and Paul Shean (Nilah) of Rochester, NY; sister, Eleanor Kress of TN; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as Jack and Jill the cats. Robert was preceded in death by three siblings. A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Mullins Memorial, 1056 NE 7^th Terrace, Cape Coral, FL 33909 with Deacon Edison Gibbons officiating.
