Robert Edgar Tripp, Sr.

Robert Edgar Tripp, Sr., 82, a Lee County, FL resident since 1994, formerly of Medinah, IL passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 in North Ft. Myers. He was born March 1, 1932 in New Bedford, MA to Edgar Tripp and Helen Poole, now deceased.

Robert retired from the US Navy as Chief Petty Officer where he served in both the Korean Conflict and Vietnam conflicts as a Radar Operator and later as a Radar Instructor. Robert was also retired from Bell Telephone Systems where he worked as a line splicer and service installer. Robert spent the last 20 years enjoying time with family and enjoying the Florida retirement lifestyle.

He is survived by his two beloved sons, Robert "Bob" Tripp, Jr. (Jessica) of Cape Coral, FL and Scott Tripp also of Cape Coral; one granddaughter, Makayla Tripp of Cape Coral; three siblings, Ken Tripp (Vi) of Freetown, MA, Merrill Tripp (Elsie) of Acushnet, MA and Helen DeMello of Rochester, MA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
