Rodney Wayne Flint

January 5, 1956 — March 14, 2024

Rodney Wayne Flint, a lifelong resident of Fort Myers, FL, lost his courageous  battle of cancer  at the young age of 68 on  Thursday, March 14, 2024 in Fort Myers. He was born January 5, 1956 to the late James and Minnie Flint. 

Rodney was of the Baptist faith and was a hard worker; having worked in construction nearly his whole life and being well known for his amazing skill as a box blade operator.  When he wasn’t working, he was always outdoors either fishing with the kids, working on his boat, or showing off his race cars in the Lehigh parade. 

Surviving is his beloved wife, Sherri Smith of Fort Myers; two loving children: Phillip

"Tyler" Flint (Nicole Lee Markle)and Bobby Wayne Flint (Theresa Marie Goedde), both of Lehigh Acres; two grandkids: Aubrey Renee Flint and Eizabelle Kapri Flint; four brothers: Billy Flint, Lamar Flint, Marvin Flint, and Jim Flint. 

Rodney was preceded in death by two siblings: brother, Raymond and sister, Gloria. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 14711 Orange River Road Fort Myers, FL 33905.
