Ronald “Ron” Dennis Ross, 80, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 2015, formerly of Brooklyn Park, MN, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024 in Cape Coral. He was born June 11, 1944 in Chicago, IL to Elmo and Rose Ross, now deceased.
Ron was of the Roman Catholic faith and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who lived by the words of the Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi. Ron was a computer engineer and a pioneer in computer science. After retirement, he enjoyed computer club, using his 3D printer and building robots which he also programmed. Ron enjoyed exploring Florida, playing cards and visiting with friends and family. In earlier years, he enjoyed the cabin, traveling and camping.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jakki Ross of Cape Coral, FL; four children, Terry Berg (Lee), Vicki Larson (David), Jesse Willey (Shelly), and Eric Ross (and fiancé, Kelsey Woodward); one brother, Gary Ross (Linda); one sister, Kathy Hunt (Larry); niece, Amy; nephews, Eric, Dave, and Dan; eight grandchildren, Megan, Kate, Krissi, Michael, Jordan, Kyleigh, Sean, Sophia, and Carter; as well as great grandchild, Devon IV.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date. He will be interned at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN. Details to be announced via www.MullinsMemorial.com.
