Ruth Elisabeth Jung was born on June 7, 1931 in Neunkirchen, Germany near the well-known city of Siegen. The Lord called her home on September 5, 2015. Her mother belonged to the family of the French Huguenots and her father was a clergyman in the reformed tradition. His whole life was dedicated to evangelism. Thus, Ruth was no stranger to the gospel of Jesus Christ. She accepted Jesus Christ into her life as a youngster and was true to him to her dying day.
Then came the year 1952. In this year she met the love of her life to spend the next 63 years at his side in the ministry. The two were married on September 5, 1952. She was always active in the church, either reading Scripture or celebrating the birthdays of seniors, or accompanying the women's groups on various trips, always being an example of what it means to be a positive and active Christian lady. At the same time she was a wonderful mother to her three children, David, Nancy, and Jonathan. She was always present when they needed her, whether in school or at home. Ruth was a true mother, always open to the hurts and the joys of her children, teaching them the benefits of following Jesus throughout their lives.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Kurt, her son, David, her daughter, Nancy, and her son, Jonathan as well as five grandchildren, Jan, Andreas, Karsten, Holly and Sebastian and three great-grandchildren, Haidleigh, Willa and Asher. In Europe she is survived by her sister, Margrit (Switzerland) and her brother, Gottfried (Germany).
The death of Ruth, whom we love dearly and who will be missed every day, is a celebration of life, of eternal life. She is with the Lord, living a life without tears or anxieties. The Lord says: "He who overcomes shall inherit all things and I will be her God and she shall be my daughter" (Rev. 21:7).
Ruth has overcome, has finished the course, to spend eternity with the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Who could ask for anything more!!
