Scott Walter Ripczinski, 70, a resident of Bonita Springs, FL since 2002, formerly of Crystal, MN, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024 in Bonita Springs. He was born January 3, 1954 in Minneapolis, MN.
Scott touched so many lives in so many ways, and he leaves the world a better place for his having been in it. His greatest accomplishment was loving God and all of His children. Family was incredibly important to him, and he was a devoted father and loving husband. He was a man of few words and unbelievably patient. He spent the last twenty years as a dedicated, hard worker as head of maintenance at North Naples Church, using his skills as a master craftsman gifted with the ability to fix anything. He also devoted much of his free time to helping others. He was active on the altar team for many years at Citygate Ministries in Ft. Myers. Building on their healthy relationship, Scott and his wife, Doris, facilitated a marriage group at Citygate for the past nine years to help others build faith-based partnerships of their own. He was active in homeless ministries as well, spending many years serving and helping others on the street. Scott always shared his gratitude for God over reuniting and restoring his life with the love of his life, Doris. He loved living in Florida and spending time at the beach, and camping and traveling with Doris brought him great joy.
He is survived by the woman with whom he shared a deep, inseparable love, Doris J. Ripczinski of Bonita Springs, wife 21 years; loving mother, Shirley Ripczinski, of Crystal, MN; two sons, Nick Koehler (wife, Andrea) of Minnesota, and Luke Wilson (fiancée, Madisyn Kovitch) of Sarasota, FL; brother, Jeffrey Ripczinski of WI; sister-in-law, Sandy Ripczinski Longley of MN; grandchildren, Paige and Blake; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, Donald George Ripczinski, a brother, Dennis Ripczinski; as well as a sister-in-law, Lenore Ripczinski.
