Sigismund Haus, age 85 passed on to a pain free place on April 2nd, 2016 in Cape Coral, FL. He was born in Brody Poland and came to America as a teen. A graduate of Clark University, MA., Sig went on to teach Foreign Languages (German, French, Spanish) in the Commack School District in NY. After retiring, he moved to Port St. Lucie, FL where he found joy in gardening, boating and tennis. It was on the courts that he met and fell in love with his longtime companion, Natalie McGroeder. Sig is survived by children Lindsay Haus-Rukenbrod of North Carolina, Michele Haus-Karahan of Turkey, David Haus of Michigan, Lori Haus-Bulcock of FL., and grandchildren Vanessa, Michael, Matthew, Emre and Ela. He didn't want to leave us without meeting his first grandchild, Layla and 3 weeks ago, he did kiss her, stroke her cheek and smile.A private memorial service will be held at the home of his daughter Lori later this month. As per Ziggy's wishes, his children will scatter his ashes into the waters of the world. Mullins Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cape Coral, is entrusted with final care.
