Simone “Simmy” Phillips Davis
Simone “Simmy” Phillips Davis, 78, a resident of Cape Coral, Florida, for the past nine years, formerly of Hollywood, Florida passed away Monday, June 10, 2019 in Cape Coral. She was born March 9, 1941 in Miami, Florida. Simone was preceded in death by her parents, David Phillips and Myrtle Speckman and siblings Randy “Tony” Boaz and Sandra Oxley.
Simone was a strong Christian woman who has always known she will spend eternity with our Lord Jesus Christ. She devoted her life to raising her three daughters. After her girls were grown, Simone went to school and graduated from Miami Dade Community College, to become a Registered Nurse and continued her work as the nurturer she has always been. Even after suffering a stroke in 2000; Simone didn’t let anything keep her down. She managed to complete rehabilitation and continue to work in the medical field. She was a very strong and independent woman with an infectious smile.
She is survived by three loving children, Kelli Ruffino of Cape Coral, Florida, Carolann Morris of Fort Worth, Texas, and Robin McGee of Texas; six loving siblings, David Phillips, Simon Phillips, Colleen Sheldon, Linda Covington, Wanda Stolarski and Joann Farrentine; seven grandchildren, Rachel, Richard, Samantha, Ashleigh, Scotty, Alexandra and Francesca; as well as seven great grandchildren, Jackson, Nicholas, Kayleigh, Brynleigh, Bristol, Alexandria and her newest addition, Maverick.
Celebration will begin 11:00 AM and Memorial Service at 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Mullins Memorial, 1056 NE 7th Terrace, Cape Coral, FL 33909 with Chaplain Eddie Gibbons officiating.
