Stanley Steven Wieczorek, 89, a resident of North Fort Myers, FL for the past 20 years, formerly of Naples, FL, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020, in Cape Coral, FL. He was born December 26, 1930, in Chicago, IL to Walter and Stephania Wieczorek, now deceased.
Stanley was of the Catholic faith and attended St. Therese Catholic Church in North Fort Myers. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather. Stanley started off in the National Guard and spent the rest of his career in home improvement. Stan the Man was someone who loved spending his time boating and fishing with family and friends. Stanley was always the one driving, as it was one of the many things he took pleasure in, especially when it came to taking the wheel on long road trips. He enjoyed spreading his knowledge and interests in his model cars, boats, and lighthouses. Stanley shared his Polish heritage with family through traditional Polish meals, an ice-cold Heineken, and good old Polish jokes. These traditions will be shared by his family members for generations to come. Iron Stan will forever be in our hearts.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Mary Anne Wieczorek of North Fort Myers; five loving children, Thomas Wieczorek of North Fort Myers, Gregory Wieczorek of North Fort Myers, Cynthia Taylor of Portage, MI, Mary Beth Bohadlo (Dan) of Orland Park, IL, and Alisa Grossi of Cape Coral, FL; sisters, Lottie Cocanig of Lockport, IL, and Adeline Wieczorek of Willowbrook, IL; thirteen grandchildren; as well as six great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 6, 2020, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 2628 Del Prado Blvd. S., Cape Coral, FL 33904 with Father Lawton officiating.
