Stefania Wilk

Stefania Wilk, 91, a Cape Coral, Florida resident for the last two years, formerly of West Palm Beach, FL and Saugerties, NY, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025, in Cape Coral. She was born April 25, 1934, in Poland to Wiktoria and Juzef Paluszek, now deceased.

Stefania was of the Roman Catholic faith. Stefania along with her husband Stefan, immigrated from Poland in 1965 with their four young children. They began working hard to build their lives in America. She retired from Cabrini Medical Center as a Registered Nurse. Her most memorable years were spent upstate in Saugerties, NY where she and her husband Stefan built their summer home, entertained family, and lifelong friends from their early years in Poland. These friendships were as close to their own families. This was a special place where she taught her children, grand and great grandchildren’s life skills as well as ice skating, fishing, skiing and gardening. Stefania, along with Stefan, spent their retirement years in West Palm Beach until they moved to Cape Coral. She will be missed and remembered by everyone as a great mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and mother-in-law.

She is survived by four children, Dorota Zois of Lynbrook, NY, Witold Wilk and wife Harriett of Kentucky, Stanislaw Wilk and wife Elif of Bokeelia, FL and Martinsville, VA, and Mariusz Wilk and wife Joy of North Ft. Myers, FL; ten grandchildren, Stefania, Theo, Ayla, A.J., Alexander, Christopher, Vasiliki, Christian, Matthew and Aidan; nine great grandchildren;

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Stefan Wilk just five months ago; as well as seven siblings.

A Memorial Mass will be held 1:00 pm on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Roman Catholic Church, 12175 Stringfellow Rd., Bokeelia, FL 33922 with Father Jacek Mazur, officiating.

Memorial Contributions in memory of Stefania Wilk are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
