Stephen Vincent Smith

Stephen Vincent Smith, 88, a resident of Lee County, FL for the past twelve years, formerly of Houston, TX, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. He was born July 18,1934 in Seattle, WA to Vernon and Dorothy Smith, now deceased.

Stephen was of the Methodist faith and served in the United States Army. Steve received his degree from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon. He worked for Louisiana Pacific as Regional Sales Manager for the Southern Division in Houston, Texas. He moved from Houston, Texas twelve years ago where he could enjoy golf all year round. He was an avid golfer and his love for music and dancing was at the top of his list. He will be remembered by his smile and as a perfect gentleman.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Patricia Bates Smith of Fort Myers, FL; three children, Debbie Davis (Paul) of Renton, WA, Jeff Smith (Christine) of Katy, TX, Jennifer Horbey (Jack) of West Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren, Ryan Davis, Kristen Peoples (Brady), Taylor Smith, Julia Smith, and Eric Horbey (Andrea); as well as great grandchildren, Jackson Peoples, Bryce Peoples, Olivia Peoples, Amelia and Elizabeth Horbey.

Stephen was preceded in death by his son, Greg Smith.

Committal Services will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, FL 34241. Details to be announced via www.MullinsMemorial.com.
