Susan G. Clements

Susan G. Clements, 59, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past three months, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023 at her home. Susan grew up and lived in the Hagerstown, IN area until moving to Florida a year and a half ago.

She was born August 28, 1963 in New Castle, IN, to Charles and Phyllis Raines. She graduated from Hagerstown High School in 1981. Susan was an LPN at Henry County Hospital in New Castle, IN for several years, and upon graduation from Ivy Tech in 2014, became an RN at Reid Health in Richmond, IN.

Susan was very loved and will be extremely missed by all who knew her. She had many life-long friends and she didn’t know a stranger. She is survived by her companion of ten years, Matt Schaekel; her sisters, Cinda Raines (Kenneth May) of Hagerstown, IN and Jennifer Koontz (Christian Criss) of New Castle, IN. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Shane Taber in 2017; daughter, Kara Taber in 2020, and her only grandchild, Brantley Taber in 2018.

A celebration of life is being planned for a later date (to be announced) in Indiana.
