Suzanne Marie Ansley

The family of Suzanne Marie Ansley announce her homegoing on June 13, 2024. Sue’s 60 years were marked by service and kindness to family and friends. Known for great warmth and a wonderful sense of fun, she touched many lives. Her unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family and friends carried her through a long cancer journey. She held tenaciously to life but looked forward to Heaven.

Sue was a resident of Cape Coral, Florida since October of 2023, and formerly of Pinellas Park, Florida. She was born April 6, 1964, in Lansing, Michigan to Toney and Katie Flack, now deceased. Siblings Sandy Elsner and Toney Flack also preceded her in death.

She is survived by her loving husband, Russ Ansley of Cape Coral, daughter Amanda Salazar of Las Vegas, Nevada, stepdaughter Floren Poliseo (Joe) of Jackson, Wyoming, stepdaughter Sarah Ansley (Michael Nunnink) of Cape Coral, stepson Tom Ansley of Naples, Florida, sister Leslie Iverson (Sy) of Grand Rapids, Michigan, four much-adored grandchildren, Penelope Poliseo, Eliana Ansley, Hannah Ansley, and Trey Nunnink, and many dear friends too numerous to list.

Sue leaves behind a lasting legacy of love and devotion. She had a heart of compassion and looked for ways to help others, even while battling sickness herself. She sat with the elderly and sick, worked in food pantries, and delivered medications to hospice patients.

She and Russ had a beautiful, though all too brief, love story and her last words on this earth were to him: “You are the love of my life.”

Though we mourn her passing, we take comfort in knowing that Sue is with her Savior, Jesus Christ, and her faith and love will continue to inspire and uplift us all.

A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
