Tara L. Weber

May 21, 1950 - April 29, 2019

Tara Lynn Weber, 68, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 2015, formerly of Lino Lakes, MN, passed away Monday, April 29, 2019 in Cape Coral. She was born May 21, 1950 in Roseville, MN to Keith and Jacqueline Schottler, now deceased.

Tara was of the Lutheran faith, but also found God’s love and beauty in everything she touched, especially in the sunshine, flowers, the beach and nature. She was a loving and loyal friend to many and Those who knew her will remember her for her love of blown glass, and jewelry. Tara held a degree in early child care development and worked with several pre-school and after school programs throughout the Twin Cities in MN. She instilled in children the importance of treating others with kindness and respect. She instilled in her students her own passion for reading and her love and respect for animals. Tara was also an accomplished Real Estate agent and was often part of the Million Dollar Club.

She was especially known for her skill of remodeling, decorating and organizing homes to make them look their best. She had an amazing gift for being able to see the possibilities of a house by moving a wall or two, “rejigging” the floor plan in her head and putting in plenty of ‘sweat equity’. Her visions always turned into beautiful homes full of light and elegance.

Tara was always on the move and her favorite hobbies were spending time with her friends and family, traveling, reading, trying new foods, shopping, and going on adventures. Tara was always on the hunt for beautiful, colorful and unique treasures. It was not uncommon for her to go into a shop and not come out for hours while she made friends and shared life stories with all of those in the shop at the time, Joel always knew to bring a good book.

Never afraid of hard work or getting dirty, rarely was Tara never sitting idle or still for very long. There were always many projects and plans in the works. Those of us left behind are now very much at lost without those plans and projects. She was often teased by her family that the only time she would be doing just one thing would be was when she was dead. But even now we are certain that she is busy guiding and watching over her family and friends and redecorating heaven. Tara, Mom, Friend you are missed and loved by so many, we have a huge hole in our hearts that will never be filled. You will never be forgotten as your love will always be in the hearts of those you loved.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 16 years, Joel Weber of Cape Coral; loving daughter, Courtney Hansen (Chris) of Mounds View, MN; Cooper the dog and Spencer the cat; as well as grand dogs, Alice, Mia, and Betty.

Tara was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Schottler; as well as Pierce, the dog.

Memorial Services will be held 10:00 AM on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Faith Presbyterian Church, 4544 Coronado Pkwy., Cape Coral, FL 33904 with Rev. Tom Hafer officiating.
