Thomas Earle Avila-Roman, 40, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past ten years, formerly of Fort Myers, FL, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022 in Cape Coral. He was born May 17, 1982 in Port Charlotte, FL to Miguel and Margery Avila-Roman, Sr., now deceased.
Thomas was of the Baptist faith. He was a Loving Brother, Uncle, Brother-in-Law and Friend. Thomas was a caring person who cared for others. He always made sure that the people he loved were always taken care of. Growing up Thomas was an avid runner and ran Track and Cross Country all throughout High School. When he Graduated High School, he joined the Army. He was a SGT. in the Army Reserves. Thomas was able to get his bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Back in 2020 Thomas was diagnosed with a rare form of Gastric Cancer. He had a hard and long battle with Cancer. He fought hard until the end. He is now at peace and is in no more pain.
He is survived by four loving siblings, Juana Perkins (Paul) of Cape Coral, Miguel Avila-Roman, Jr. of Fort Myers, Jennifer Avila-Roman of Fort Myers, and Margery Avila-Roman, also of Fort Myers; as well as five nephews and nieces, Aries, Ethan, Kassidy, Taylor, and Aaliyah.
Funeral Services with Military Honors will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33916. The family will receive friends for a Time of Visitation from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
Committal Services will be held 11:30 AM Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, FL 34241.
