Tom, 83, the son of the late Domenic and Alice (Stanley) Musso, born in Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 27, 2025. A resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past three years and long time resident of Danby, VT.
Tom served in the United States Army and was a proud Veteran.
Tom was the owner/operator of The White Dog Tavern in Danby, VT for over 30 years. His passion for food and the importance of family, hard work, hospitality, and just being together were instilled in everything he did. He loved the simple life of playing cards, watching sports, cooking, and enjoying a meal with family and friends.
Tom is survived by his daughter Laurie Whitehead of Cape Coral, FL and three grandsons, Justin Kuncio of West Warwick, RI; Ryan Kuncio of Cape Coral, FL; and Matthew Whitehead of Cape Coral, FL.
Tom also had the honor of raising two stepdaughters and is survived by Amanda Paul (husband John) of Deering, NH and Krystina Cook (husband Tom) of Standish, ME; grandchildren Eleanor, Daniel, and Harrison Paul and Hadley and Jordan Cook.
Tom is the oldest brother of the late Harry C. Musso and Alice "Babe" Tillinghast. He is survived by younger siblings Richard "Dickie" Musso (wife Terry) of Florida, Linda Kirk (husband Matthew) of Florida, and Donna Florio of Rhode Island.
In lieu of flowers the family requests you plant a tree in Tom's memory. Choose a location of your choice, but we suggest choosing Green Mountain National Forest in Vermont.
