Treasure Kathleen Jacoby

Treasure Kathleen Jacoby (nee Hanson) beloved wife, mother, Gran Gran, Gaggee, sister, cousin and friend to many, 69 years young, of North Fort Myers, FL went to join her beloved husband Barry and be with their Lord and Savior June 7, 2023.

Treasure was born in Tampa, FL on February 6, 1954 and her childhood was filled with many adventures including living in the Bahamas and South Africa, where she began her nursing career and married the love of her life Barry.  They and their four children moved back to America in 1982 where they created an amazing legacy of love, kindness and lots of cherished memories. 

Treasure’s life was a true love story, always together with her partner in crime and best friend Barry.  They spent years traveling around the USA in their coach home and enjoyed life to the fullest.  A loyal, beautiful soul and a simple person, nothing made her happier than gardening, being outdoors and playing a ferocious pickleball game!   She treasured her family and each child and grandchild had a special place in her heart.  We cherish and honor her memory knowing that she is reunited with Barry and an angel looking down on us always.

Treasure is survived by her seven children, Chardayne (Eric), Brandon (Kellie), Monique (Wes), Tyran (Jodi), Sharlene, Tony and Jimmy.  As much as she loved her children, her grandchildren gave her the greatest joy in life – Kristi, Chase (Brooke), Victoria, Megan, Jenny, Jake, Jillian, Madilyn, Mallie, Dylan, Brianna, Avery, Connor, Dante, Aiden and Nadya, her beloved sister Morag, cousins Shelly and Heather and many life long friends.

Rest well mom, never has someone been so perfectly named – we will Treasure and honor you forever!

A Celebration of her wonderful life will be held on June 30, 2023 at 11am at First Christian Church, 2061 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33901, refreshments to follow.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Hope Hospice in her honor, 9470 Healthpark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908.
