Vaughn Eugene Churchill, Jr.

Vaughn Eugene Churchill, Jr., 66, of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly of Monroe, Michigan passed away in his home on Sunday, September 3, 2023.

Vaughn was born on November 10, 1956 to Dorothy and Vaughn Churchill Sr. in Chicago, Illinois. After Vaughn graduated from Monroe High School in 1974 he went on to work at Ford Motor Company for many years. During this time, he developed a love for scuba diving. Always having a love for the water, Vaughn transitioned from his career at Ford to operating/owning his own pool installation and repair company. Vaughn would run this company up until the time he passed away.

Beyond scuba diving Vaughn had a love for fishing, you could always find him out on the lake casting a line. One of Vaughn’s strongest passions was cooking. If he wasn’t in the kitchen trying to perfect a dish, he would be watching some sort of cooking show on TV to get ideas for recipes. Vaughn also had a passion for golf and was an avid pool player.

He is survived by his longtime partner, Valerie Krupa; two sons, Craig Churchill, and Eric (Kathryn) Pearch; sisters, Carla (Dave) Strunk, and Reva (Dwade) Cole; brother, Bari (Wendy) Waltz; as well as his six beloved grandchildren, Hayden, Ella, Alyssa, Ryan, Makenna, and Ciara.

Vaughn was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Vaughn Churchill.
