Vernon Lee Rose

Vernon Lee Rose, 78, of Babcock Ranch, FL, formerly of Racine, WI, passed away Thursday, December 5,
2024 in Casablanca, Morocco. He was born January 19, 1946 in Racine, WI to Mary and Vaughn Rose, now
deceased.
Vern was a graduate from Union Grove High School. Upon graduation he continued his education at
Whitewater and Gateway. His working career brought him to Walker Mfg for 25 years. Next move was to
Johnson City, TN., and eventually settling in Florida. In all these moves he established many wonderful,
lifelong friends and he valued each friendship.
Vern’s love for life was mirrored in his enthusiasm in all he pursued. He was an avid sports fan, however, the
Milwaukee Brewers, Wisconsin Football, and the Packers were his passion. In his younger days, he enjoyed
competitive matches whether it was Euchre, Cribbage, and Sheepshead. Vern loved team sports of bowling, and
softball, golf, and tennis. He loved a good joke, but failed miserably in telling the joke.
His spirit will forever be part of our hearts, reminding us to cherish every moment. His legacy will live through
the love of his family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Peggy Rose of Babcock Ranch; three loving children, Brenda
Carrick (Matt) of Beaufort, SC, Brian Rose (Jess) of Union Grove, WI and Dave Arvai (Lisa) of Franksville,
WI; seven grandchildren, Collin, Conner, MacKenzie, Samantha, Christine, Talia and Olivia as well as sisterin-law, Karen Rose of Grafton, WI and many nieces and nephews.
Additionally, Vernon was preceded in death by a brother, Vaughn Rose, Jr., his in-laws, Margaret and Howie
Haakenson, as well as other family members.
Family and Friends are invited to honor Verns memory with a Celebration of Life and will be held 5:00 PM on
Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Babcock Ranch Field House, 43281 Cypress Pky, Babcock Ranch, Fl. 33982 with
Pastor Matt Shapton officiating.
