Veronica Freeman

November 27, 1934 — January 20, 2023

Veronica Freeman, 88, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past eight months, formerly of St. Croix, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023 in Fort Myers. She was born November 27, 1934 in St. Lucia to Anthony and Emilian Cenac, now deceased.

Veronica was a member of Fredericksted Baptist Church of St. Croix. She worked as a general merchandiser at Pueblo Supermarket for 30 years. Veronica enjoyed working in her garden and taking evening walks .

She is survived by three loving children, Clementina “Patsy” Emanuel (Francois) of Lawrenceville, GA, Brian Freeman and his partner, Katie McIntyre of Cape Coral, and Leo Freeman (Audrey) of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Helen Pena of St. Lucia; six grandchildren, Asher, Alva, Abi, Melissa, Celise, and Norelys; two great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Veronica was preceded in death by a daughter, Catherine; as well as three siblings, Rachel, Beatrice, and Frank.

Memorial Services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33916 with Jim Burch officiating.

Memorial Contributions in memory of Veronica Freeman are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at https://www.stjude.org/.
