Victor Christiano

February 3, 1930 - December 20, 2014

Victor Christiano, 84, a Lee County resident since 1992, formerly of Hamilton Square, NJ passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014 in Cape Coral, FL. He was born February 3, 1930 in Bronx, NY to Vincenzo and Frances Christiano, now deceased.

Victor was of the Catholic faith and was a Korean War US Air Force veteran. He graduated from the Evander Childs High School, Bronx, NY in June of 1947, attended Manhattan college from 1947-1949 and graduated summa Cum Laude at Brooklyn Polly Tech, which is now part of S.U.N.Y. system. He worked at David Sarnoff Research Labs in Princeton, NJ for 30 years and retired as a member of the Technical Staff. He also was a member of the Hamilton Elks in NJ and the Italian American Club in Cape Coral, FL. Victor was very active in the Nottingham Little League and coached and managed several champion teams. He also was very active in the Hamilton Soccer and had the privilege of starting its first Soccer Tournament.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Lucille Christiano of Cape Coral; five children, Victor Christiano of Palm Springs, CA, Luanne Christiano of Hollywood, FL, Alfred Christiano of Cape Coral; Chris Christiano and wife Laura also of Cape Coral and Nick Christiano and wife Carla of Bradenton, FL; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Brianna, Desiree, Angela, Nicholas, Andre, Renzo, Carlo and Giovanni; a nephew, Michael Christiano and wife Susan of Ft. Myers; as well as a sister-in-law, Carolyn Cabanero and husband John of Miami.

Along with his parents, Victor was preceded in death by his brother, James Christiano.

Memorial services will be held 2:00PM Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Mullins Memorial, 1056 NE 7th Terrace, Cape Coral, FL 33909. The United States Air Force will also be presenting honors at this time.
