Vincent Louis Cautero, aka “Tete”, 65, a resident of Fort Myers, Florida for the last two years, formerly of Hopatcong, NJ, passed away Wednesday, June 11th, 2025, in Fort Myers. He was born May 1, 1960, in Brooklyn, NY to Louis and Lorenza Cautero, now deceased.
Vinnie was a huge fan of baseball, football and hockey. For 25 years he was an umpire for high school, little league & traveling baseball which he thoroughly enjoyed. Vinnie and his wife loved their new life in Paradise. They enjoyed going to the pool, beach, cruising, and riding their golf cart around their development socializing with their neighbors. Vinnie’s greatest treasure, besides his sons, Matthew and Nicholas, was his granddaughter Madison. He cherished every moment he spent with his loving family and many dear friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Jane Cautero of Fort Myers; his son, Matthew Cautero and his wife Natasha of Estero, FL; the apple of his eye, his granddaughter Madison; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Martha and Richard Walker also of Fort Myers; as well as his two buddies, Cooper and Tucker the dogs.
Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Nicholas Cautero.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
