Wanda Lee Casteel

Wanda Lee Casteel, 83, a Lee County, Florida resident since 1985, formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015 in Cape Coral. She was born May 2, 1932 in Taulbee, Kentucky to Raymon and Golden Mullins, now deceased. Wanda was a loving wife and mother, a good friend, a very caring and compassionate person to all things living, man or animal. Wanda loved nature. She enjoyed the beach or the forest. This was evident in her daily life. She grew many beautiful flowers and plants. Her home had ponds and aquariums filled with fish and turtles. Wanda was never without at least one dog by her side that was her loyal friend. She surrounded herself with many lovely collections of shells, birds, and animal statues. Just another way you were aware of her passion. She will be missed. Wanda is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, Leonard D. Casteel of Cape Coral; five loving children, Steven Brown (Lee) of Westchester, Ohio; David Casteel (Linda) of Loveland, Ohio, Dean Casteel of Ft. Myers, Florida, Neva Hall (Darrell) of Crossville, Tennessee, and Melissa Hoffman of Ft. Myers, Florida; daughter in law, Debbie Casteel of Ft. Myers, Florida; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; as well as one great-great grandchild. Wanda was preceded in death by a son, Daryl Keith Casteel and two siblings, Nellwood Neal and Raymon Mullins. No formal services are planned at this time.
