Wayne Joseph Vetter

Wayne Joseph Vetter, 82, of North Fort Myers, FL passed away on August 19, 2025 at his home in North Fort Myers, Florida. Wayne was born on August 30, 1942 to Joseph and Jessie Violet Epton, Now deceased, in Paterson, New Jersey. He married Susan Claire (Mann) on April 7th, 1967 in Wayne, NJ.

Wayne was a very hard working family man. When he was first married he worked 3 jobs to support the family and continued to do so for many years. He loved to party with our friends and was a real ball buster. One of his favorite sayings was “ My name is Buck and I don’t give a F$#@.” He also referred to many people as a “Wheel” “ A Square Wheel” He was always so funny and could always make you laugh. He loved his wine and his oldies and would play oldies loudly at his computer with his glass of wine. He was the best Husband, Father. Grandfather and Friend. This had been beyond heartbreaking. He will be missed more than he could ever know. We all love you!

In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter, Tammy Lanning (Lance); Predeceased by one daughter. Jody Vetter; one grandson, Kevin Sorensen; one granddaughter, Leyna Dalton; one great-grandson, Bradley Peavey; one sibling, Gary Vetter (Gwen) of Port Charlotte, FL; Predeceased by another brother, Dennis Vetter (Diane) of Florida and and his nephew, Keith Vetter, niece, Sandra Quast and niece Haylee Vetter, as well as many other nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be on Saturday, September 13th, 2025 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at 1721 SW 49th Lane Cape Coral, FL 33914
