William Earl Brown

William Earl Brown, 81, a resident of Lee County, FL since 1957, passed away Monday, March 4, 2024 in North Fort Myers, FL. He was born September 7, 1942 in Birmingham, AL to William Hubbard and Willie Mae Brown, now deceased.

Lovingly known as Earl to all that knew him. Earl was of the Baptist faith and attended Faith Assembly of God. Earl was a graduate of Fort Myers High School. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served proudly in Texas. His love for airplanes was as strong when he passed as the first day on the base. They were his passion. He was well known and respected in the community as a Master Plumber and owners of Earl’s Plumbing. He was active in his children’s sports including being a North Fort Myers Little League coach for many years. He never met a stranger, everyone felt an instant friendship from Earl.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Carolyn Brown of North Fort Myers; children, Michael Brown (Jill) of Ocklawaha, FL, and Julie Anzalone (Chris) of North Fort Myers; siblings, Charlie Brown (Mary) of Fort Myers, FL, Patricia Thompson of Evans, GA, and Allan Brown (Glenda) of Evans, GA; seven grandchildren, Ashley, Marissa, Ciara, Kayleigh, Slayter, Christopher, and Amanda; five great grandchildren, Avery, Briar, Harper, Hudson, and TJ; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as his beloved Ryder and Maggie the dogs.

Earl was preceded in death by siblings, Carolyn Weeks, and Anthony Brown.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, March 11, 2024 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33916. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 11:00 AM until time of service. Committal services to follow at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 FL-82, Lehigh Acres, FL 33973. The family welcomes friends and family for fellowship and remembrance at Chris and Julie’s home following the graveside services.
