William Travis Kendall, Jr., 96, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past 35 years, formerly of Lexington, KY, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021 in Hope Hospice. He was born December 19, 1924 in Ashland, KY to William and Lona Kendall, now deceased.

Bill was of the Baptist faith. He is now in Heaven with Jesus. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Lexington, KY and had helped to build that church. Bill attended McGregor Baptist for 25 years and had been 10 years at Evangelical Free Church. Bill had heart surgery in 1999 and went to Israel, “Holy Land”, in 2000. He was Baptized in Jordan River. Bill was in the jewelry business all his life and retired as manager in 1985 from LeRoy’s in Lexington, KY. He moved to Fort Myers, FL and worked in the jewelry department at J.C. Penny and retired again. He volunteered at the Lee Memorial Hospital Post Office for 19 years. He was also treasurer and in the board at North Shore Place. Bill will be remembered by his kindness, love, and care for all he met.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Joyce Kendall of Cape Coral; three loving children, David Kendall (Norma) of Prescott, AZ, Kenneth Kendall (Katherine) of Venice, FL, and Alice Collins (CV) of Nicholasville, KY; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Fort Myers Evangelical Free Church, 6798 Plantation Pines Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33966 with Pastor Ron Johnson officiating. A reception will be held in fellowship hall following the service.
