William (Bill) J Marshall

William (Bill) J Marshall, 67, a resident of Fort Myers, FL since 2023, formerly of Marion, OH, received his angel wings Wednesday, November 13, 2024 in Fort Myers, FL. He was born August 27, 1957 in Salyersville, KY to the late William and Dorothy Mae Marshall Jackson.

William (Bill) was of the Christian faith, and was a good, upstanding person. He was a graduate of Marion Harding High School. In 1974 he married the love of his life, Margie Travis whom he loved to spoil. He retired from Nucor Steel Marion after forty years of service. William (Bill) will be remember as a very hard worker who never knew to slow down, if he saw that someone needed help he was there to lend a hand. He will be remembered as a practical joker, he loved playing jokes on his many co-workers and friends, even more so on his wife. After his retirement from Nucor he moved to Florida. In August 2024 he and his wife decided to become snowbirds splitting their time between Florida and their favorite campground in Ohio. William (Bill) has four dogs that he loved dearly, he always made sure his babies ate before he did, always hand feeding the oldest and his best companion Biggin.

William (Bill) is survived by his beloved wife, Margie Marshall of Fort Myers FL; a loving son, Terry (Angela) Marshall of Marion, OH; a loving sister, Phyllis McCoy of Marion, OH; four grandchildren, Taylar (Zach) Willard of Westerville, OH, Matthew Marshall of Marion, OH, Hayley Marshall of Marion, OH, and Ryan Strange of Bucyrus OH; a great grandson, Jaxen Strange of Bucyrus, OH; three sister-in-laws, Rita (Bruce) Emptage of LaRue, OH; Mary Marshall of Marion, OH and Lorain (Leonard) Butcher of Salyersville, KY, two brother In-laws John Casteel of Galion, OH, and Jimmie Wolford of Marion, OH; and his numerous nieces and nephews; as well all his camping family at Indian Trails Resort of Lakeview Ohio.

William (Bill) was preceded in death by a daughter, Kristi Marshall in 2023 of Marion, OH; as well as three sisters, Dora Casteel of Galion, OH, Kathy McCoy of KY, Penny Wolford of Marion, OH. As well as four brothers, Billy Joe Marshall of Marion, OH, Adam Marshall of Marion, OH, Paul Marshall of Salyersville, KY, Johnie Marshall of Marion, OH, and Simon Marshall of Salyersville, KY.
